In January, the Ministry of Commerce repealed Resolution 54/2000 by which prepaid medicine providers had to periodically report the total value of the monthly fee they receive for the provision of the service. The SSSalud notified the Prepaid Medicine Companies to present the coverage plans offered to their beneficiaries and the updated quota values to the organization.
It is assumed that this information would serve as a basis for the decisions that the Government could adopt in the face of the skyrocketing contributions of members of the different prepaid companies of more than 150%, more than 200% and more than 300% since the Government granted freedom of prices.
