In this series “In the real estate project”, French people have agreed to tell us about their desires for elsewhere or for renewal through a change of place of life.

Choices that are sometimes complex to put in place but which also make it possible to make the wildest dreams come true.

This is something that has been on the minds of Anaïs Poirier and her husband Vladimir for several years: leaving everything behind to find the castle of their dreams.

“We’ve known each other for sixteen years and we visit abandoned churches or castles everywhere we go,” she recalls.

Even more, the love of heritage has always linked Anaïs and Vladimir, both from a working or rural background.

“Our house is only furnished with furniture from flea markets,” emphasizes the woman who had already thought about “buying an old house” several years ago around the Nantes region where she comes from, before giving up on it. because of the cost.

Now 34 years old, Anaïs lives with Vladimir (37 years old) and their daughter Zoé (9 years old) in Moret-sur-Loing, a small town located not far from Fontainebleau (Seine-et-Marne).

She is employed at Doctolib, and manages the administration of a notary office in the Paris region.

Between them, they do not earn more than 5,000 euros net per month and have already changed jobs or place of life several times.

“I am often told that buying a castle is a crazy project.

But we have managed to do lots of things, always starting from nothing,” assures Anaïs, who describes herself as an autodidact with a “great thirst for curiosity”.
