BNP Paribas announced on Monday the appointment of Isabelle Loc as head of the group's commercial banking activities in France and within its executive committee, to succeed Marguerite Bérard.
“His diversified experience within the group will allow him, with the support of all the teams, to lead the transformation of our commercial bank in France
,” declared Jean-Laurent Bonnafé, administrator and general manager of BNP Paribas, quoted in a press release.
Commercial banking in France (BCEF) brings together the corporate banking, private banking and retail banking activities of BNP Paribas.
In 2023, BCEF made a profit of 1.19 billion euros (excluding insurance) out of the 11 billion profits posted in total by the group.
Isabelle Loc, 41, has been managing director of Leasing Solutions, a BNP Paribas subsidiary specializing in the rental of professional equipment, since 2021.
She will be replaced by Neil Pein, former head of payments for the group.
A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the American University of Columbia, she joined BNP Paribas in 2010. Her mission will be to
“continue the transformation of commercial banking in France and continue to deploy the 2025 strategic plan”

The departure of Marguerite Bérard, former classmate of Emmanuel Macron at the ENA and ex-adviser of Nicolas Sarkozy, was announced on Friday, after five years at the helm of the BCEF.
