Solar panels are growing like mushrooms on the roofs of warehouses, factories, in shade over parking lots... Individuals are not the only ones who are interested in installing solar panels on their roofs.
Businesses too.
Last year, photovoltaic installations increased by 40% in companies with almost 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of projects connected in France.
Or around a third of the self-consumption market.
The motivation is first and foremost economic.
These “on-site” solar installations, whose electricity production is dedicated to self-consumption, offer companies the means to “
control part of their electricity bill, with long-term visibility

, explains Benjamin Declas, CEO of EDF ENR.
On average, these solar power plants make it possible to make a saving of 20% to 25% on the electricity consumption of the site concerned, for around 1 million euros of investment for 1 MW of production.
