This new packaging will be launched in the United Kingdom, before being gradually rolled out across Europe.

In France, it will first be used in the 330 ml format, according to the brand's press release echoed by Usine Nouvelle.

Reduction of CO2 emissions

The new formula should make it possible to reduce the CO2 footprint of packaging by 25% and “avoid the landfill of several tonnes of aluminum per year”, according to the same source.

“Although a Capri-Sun bag is made up of several very thin layers of plastic and aluminum, 2/3 of its materials are ready to be recycled.

The remaining third is recyclable using specific technology to separate the materials.

Unfortunately, not all recycling plants are yet equipped with them,” the company lamented on its site until now.

In 2021, the brand had already replaced its plastic straws with paper straws and committed to becoming 100% recyclable by 2025. It's done!
