Less than a week after the fatal lynching of Philippe Coopman, a young man of 22, a new attack occurred in Grande-Synthe (North). A 15-year-old teenager was attacked by several people, during the night from Friday to Saturday, who stole some of his clothes, Charlotte Huet, the public prosecutor of Dunkirk, told the Parisian this Saturday, confirming information from BFMTV.
An investigation was opened by the Dunkirk public prosecutor's office for "intentional violence in meetings leading to incapacity for work for more than 8 days". She was entrusted to the personal violence group of the local Dunkirk judicial police service.
A cousin of the two minors indicted for murder
During the night from Friday to Saturday, this 15-year-old teenager was “a victim of aggravated violence”, explains the prosecutor without giving further details. Several personal effects were stolen from him, including his tracksuit and sneakers. The young man was taken to hospital, but his life prognosis is not in jeopardy.
The minor attacked is the cousin of one of the people indicted on Friday, specifies Charlotte Huet. But this has not yet been heard, “it is not possible to conclude reliably on the motive”, specified Charlotte Huet.
Unlike the attack on Philippe Coopman, trapped by teenagers on the Coco dating site, “these are not acts committed following an appointment on a dating site” , adds the magistrate.
On the night of Monday April 15 to Tuesday April 16, Philippe Coopman, 22, was violently beaten by several people. Two minors, suspected of having organized an ambush via a dating site, were arrested, indicted and imprisoned, the public prosecutor said on Friday evening.
