Highlights: The Court of Arbitration for Sports (TAD) has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Pedro Rocha and the entire managing committee. The origin is a complaint from Miguel Galán, president of the Cenafe coaching school, who accuses him of having exceeded his duties as “interim” president and of delaying the electoral call. The outcome of the elections is still up in the air. The future of the federation itself, watched from a distance by the CSD and FIFA, is uncertain. The RFEF remains directionless and without a visible head, nor anyone capable of signing a single contract to move forward on a day-to-day basis. The candidate for the presidency of the Extremuran president, once the Rubiales president, is not considering resigning. At least 11 presidents of the territorial federations meet tonight to demonstrate their position against the virtual president and ask him to step down. This is the beginning of the move to break down the virtual position of the JAVA president.

The challenge promoted by Miguel Galán leaves the appointment of the president, investigated in Operation Brodie, up in the air. In addition, the Court files a case of very serious misconduct against the president and his entire management committee.

The last chapter in the soap opera based in the Las Rozas Football City leaves the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) composed and without a boyfriend. The Court of Arbitration for Sports (TAD) has initiated disciplinary proceedings against Rocha and the entire managing committee for a very serious infraction. The origin is a complaint from Miguel Galán, president of the Cenafe coaching school, who accuses him of having exceeded his duties as “interim” president and of delaying the electoral call. The TAD resolution in this regard has been sent this Monday to the Higher Sports Council (CSD), which is analyzing the 39 pages of which the document consists "to define the next steps", according to sources from the Council informed this newspaper. While the possible disqualification of Rocha and the rest of the members of the federation who made up its hard core after surviving the Rubiales crisis and the ultimate effect of Operation Brodie are being studied, the RFEF remains directionless and without a visible head. nor anyone capable of signing a single contract to move forward on a day-to-day basis.

The TAD adds spice and uncertainty to the situation. But there are more ways to surround Rocha and his trusted people. The electoral commission has admitted the challenge of the recent electoral process, in accordance with another request from Miguel Galán, the man who has proposed to change the course within the body that governs Spanish football. And decapitate him. Thus, Pedro Rocha, investigated since last Friday in what is known as Operation Brodie, still cannot be proclaimed president. Galán's movement, which challenges the elections because it considers that the guarantees presented by Rocha are not valid, either because "they have expired", or because "they were obtained in an alleged electoral fraud", puts a stop to the process and opens a new period : April 26, the deadline indicated in the electoral calendar and by when the case should have been resolved. By then it will be necessary to see if Rocha is appointed, stalked as he is by justice and by administrative means.

During the recently opened electoral process, Rocha had no opposition. No other candidate for the presidency of the Federation managed to gather enough endorsements (21) to officially present his candidacy in the elections that will cover the current Olympic cycle. And Rocha, with a display of massive support from the world of football (he presented 107 endorsements), proclaimed himself the winner and president until next October or November, when he should call elections again. Rocha's official proclamation, however, did not occur this Monday, as planned. Galán had already warned that he would challenge the process by considering that forty assembly members should have been renewed beforehand (in total there must be 140) who had lost their status by withdrawing or having lost their federation record, cases for example of Luis Enrique or Jorge Vilda, former coaches who now work outside Spain. He has done so. And the outcome of the elections is still up in the air. Like the future of the federation itself, watched from a distance by the CSD and FIFA.

The CSD is now studying the content of the TAD report before convening, within 48 hours, the board of directors, which, in any case, should request the suspension of the RFEF management board. In addition, the president of the Council, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, appears this Tuesday at the Education, Professional Training and Sports Commission of the Congress of Deputies, where he will explain how the Council will proceed and what measures it will take with the Federation and that it has has been reaching a consensus these weeks with FIFA, the body on which the Spanish institution depends directly.

Rocha, for his part, now assumes that he only has to "wait for the decisions of the TAD and respond to all the questions that arise in the file that he has initiated together with the entire management company," say sources close to the Extremaduran president. The candidate for the presidency of the federation, once Rubiales's dolphin, is not considering resigning. “His idea of him is to move forward, since he feels that a terrible injustice is being committed and that he continues to have the support of Spanish football,” he insists. This support, which was evident in the 107 endorsements that he presented to strengthen his candidacy, is beginning to break down. At least 11 presidents of the territorial federations meet tonight to demonstrate their position against the virtual federative president and ask him to step aside.

Javier Tebas appeals Rocha's accusation

On the other hand, the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, continues to show his support for Rocha, whom he defends in all forums, especially after the RFEF withdrew the lawsuit against the agreement with CVC. Tebas has appealed the accusation of the virtual president of the federation by Judge Delia Rodríguez, the same one who promoted the investigation of the so-called Operation Brodie, which indicates the existence of an alleged corruption plot in the RFEF, accused of disloyal administration and other crimes. Tebas argues in his brief that the court agreed to “the mutation of the procedural situation of a witness to the condition of being investigated” and that it did so during his interrogation “without there being a resolution that motivates and substantiates this change of situation, violating their right to defense.”
