As Aleksander Aamodt Kilde reports, after his horror fall in Wengen, he decided while he was in the hospital that he wanted to marry Mikaela Shiffrin. “I called home, ordered a ring and picked it up from my brother,” the Norwegian told NRK about the engagement.
During the World Cup final in Saalbach, he picked up the ring from his brother and asked the American for her hand in marriage. Despite the engagement, there are no plans to get married any time soon. According to Kilde, this should only take place in a few years. Until then, the ski dream couple wants to concentrate on their active careers.
