Eintracht Frankfurt has loaned out numerous players to other clubs. We give an overview of how the individual loan players perform.

Frankfurt – There have been numerous changes to the squad at Eintracht Frankfurt in the last two transfer periods. In addition to the many new players signed by sports director Markus Krösche, several professionals have also said goodbye. However, some of them are only on loan and could return to SGE after the loan expires. Below we give an overview of how things are going for each of the players on loan.

Eintracht loan player Aaronson is turning up the heat in Arnhem

Paxten Aaronson (Vitesse Arnheim):

Due to the strong competition in Eintracht Frankfurt's midfield, it was difficult for him to play regularly. The young professional is now working on his breakthrough in the Netherlands. The American is the undisputed regular player in Arnhem and scored two goals in six league games. After the loan ends, Aaronson will return to the Main.

Kristijan Jakic (FC Augsburg):

Under former SGE head coach Oliver Glasner, the Croatian was a kind of all-purpose weapon. Since Dino Toppmöller took over at Eintracht, his playing time has been reduced significantly. In Augsburg he made it straight into the starting line-up and even scored recently. The Fuggerstadters have a purchase option and will probably take it.

Faride Alidou (1. FC Köln)

: Last summer, the offensive player joined 1. FC Köln to gain match practice at a high level. At the beginning, however, he also had difficulties getting used regularly in the Rhineland. It wasn't until the coaching change from Steffen Baumgart to Timo Schultz that the Hamburg native was able to get started. FC has a purchase option for the 22-year-old, although Eintracht Frankfurt has the option to counter this with a buyback option.

Onguéné without a future at Eintracht Frankfurt

Jérôme Onguéné (Servette Geneva):

The former RB Salzburg player was unable to assert himself at Eintracht Frankfurt and was a bad purchase by those responsible for the SGE. After the end of the loan to Geneva, he was actually supposed to return to the Main in the summer, but there are no longer any plans for the defender there. He has not been in the squad in Geneva since the end of September last year. His future is completely unclear.

Jens Petter Hauge (Bodø/Glimt)

: The Norwegian returned to his homeland after once again failing to assert himself at Eintracht Frankfurt. Bodø/Glimt has a purchase option for the offensive player. There is still a break in the Scandinavian country at the moment, and the season doesn't start until the beginning of April.

Igor Matanovic (Karlsruher SC)

: The attacker made his breakthrough at KSC and will return to SGE in the summer. His contract was recently extended. Next season he is expected to take a permanent place in the squad under head coach Dino Toppmöller and can prove himself in the Bundesliga.

SGE loan Little with serious injury

Marcel Wenig (1. FC Nürnberg)

: The young offensive player was only active for the U21 team at Eintracht Frankfurt, which plays in the Regionalliga Südwest. Returning to his hometown of Nuremberg was supposed to be a new beginning for Wenig, but shortly after his arrival he tore his cruciate ligament. It is currently unclear what will happen next for him from the summer onwards.

Jessic

Ngankam (FSV Mainz 05):

The striker, who moved from Hertha BSC to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023, will still play for Rheinhessen until the end of the season. But he doesn't get much more match practice there than he does at SGE. He hasn't managed to score yet, but was banned for two games after being sent off. At Mainz he is only in demand as a joker. (
