The journey of the Emilian Alessandro Bellière is also about to arrive in Valled'Aosta, who, to celebrate his 90 years of life in the name of movement and physical activity in the open air, has decided to face the challenge 'The ninety castles of Northern Italy' , an itinerary of over 2,000 kilometers in nine regions.
Departing from Trieste on 27 July 2023, he had to abandon the pre-established route in Somma Lombarda due to a health problem. Now, however, he will try to complete it again. Next week, after Verrès, he will reach Fénis, where he is expected on Saturday 27 April around 2pm for his forty-fifth stop.
Passionate about sport since adolescence, Bellière was a national track and field athlete (distance running and race walking). Since the early sixties he has approached the world of trekking which still represents his great passion. On the occasion of his eightieth birthday in 2013, he crossed Italy on foot (1,759 kilometers in 45 days of walking).
