slips a member of her campaign team. And Madame is in a hurry.
This morning, she leaves to plow her constituency of Krishnanagar, a rural region of West Bengal, where she must cover 82 villages between now and the legislative vote, scheduled here for May 13.
“I cross each town standing in the back of a jeep to meet as many people as possible. I don't like having large gatherings. I need to reach out to people,”
she explains. This 49-year-old woman is a ball of energy, she speaks at the speed of a machine gun.
