"Climate peace work": behind this banner, around a thousand environmental activists took part in the procession, joining the Fridays For Future demonstration in Turin. They gathered in front of the Porta Nuova railway station to "protest against the interests that hinder climate and social justice by exacerbating or generating instability and conflicts", as they explained. Along with young environmentalists there are also trade unions, student collectives, social centers and pro-Palestine groups.
"The Fridays For Future - they say - are taking to the streets together with the Palestinian movements to demand an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip given that fossil lobbies continue to finance those responsible for wars, colonialism and genocides".
