"We have a very high level of uncertainty, the world is slowing down. With the world, Europe is slowing down and with Europe, Italy. Taking into account the shocks, Italy's economic performance has been satisfactory".
The governor of the Bank of Italy Fabio Panetta said this in response to a question on the IMF forecasts which indicate that Italy's GDP will grow by 0.7% in 2024 in 2025.
Panetta cited October 7 as a shock, the difficulties in MarRosso, Ukraine and energy prices.
