Highlights: The Tölzer Ski Club almost went into the red in 2023. But a considerable inheritance saved the annual balance. The late Paul Frosch left the ski club, in addition to an apartment, a securities account worth around 155,000 euros, and the insurance company for the hail damage. The club ended up with a six-figure sum in the black. The summer training for the Alpine and Nordic youngsters is now taking place together, which has proven to be successful. Due to the lack of snow in this country, many training trips had to be made to neighboring Austria, to Pertisau, to Leutasch, and also to Seefeld. “At the Raiffeisencup, the regional competition for young cross-country skiers, only eight planned races could take place, four were carried out. – Markus Lachenmair, the alpine sports director of the club.

The Tölzer Ski Club almost went into the red in 2023. But a considerable inheritance saved the annual balance.

Bad Tölz – Without a significant inheritance, without the rental income from the Tölzer Hütte and without a five-figure compensation payment “we would have made a loss in 2023”. Treasurer Antonia Rein-Müller reported this at the annual meeting of the Tölzer Ski Club. However, since the late Paul Frosch left the ski club, in addition to an apartment, a securities account worth around 155,000 euros and the insurance company paid 67,000 euros for the hail damage to the Tölzer Hütte, the club ended up with a six-figure sum in the black.

Mayor Ingo Mehner remains chairman of the association

Hut keeper Hans Aiblinger Jr. explained that the insured sum would be placed in the reserves because the hail at the Tölzer Hütte “caused visual but not functional damage.” This is different for the chapel next to it, which needs a new shingle roof. “But that has already been commissioned.”

Mayor Ingo Mehner, both the old and new chairman of the association, once again highlighted the various events on the occasion of the 100th anniversary celebrations last year. The summer training for the Alpine and Nordic youngsters is now taking place together, which has proven to be successful. Mehner was pleased that the members of the Tölzer Ski Club were successful with exceptional performances in four disciplines: alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon and mogul skiing (ski freestyle).

The alpine sports director Markus Lachenmair reported primarily on the numerous joint activities of the young skiers in addition to winter sports. His Nordic counterpart Regine Brandhofer explained that due to the lack of snow in this country, many training trips had to be made to neighboring Austria, to Pertisau, to Leutasch and also to Seefeld: “At the Raiffeisencup, the regional competition for young cross-country skiers, only eight planned races could take place four are carried out.”

The Tölz sports officer Karsten Bauer stated in his welcoming speech that youth work is “enormously important” and thanked the ski club: “Your efforts in this area are worthy of all honor.” Treasurer Rein-Müller added: “Without the Tölzer Hütte and Without the inheritance we wouldn’t be able to afford the business on this scale.”

The election of the new board of directors did not bring any changes. Ingo Mehner was confirmed in their positions as chairman and Sebastian Wörle and Tine Brandl as his deputies. Antonia Rein-Müller (treasurer), Eva Zirngibl-Schroedter (secretary), Hans Aiblinger Jr. were also re-elected. (hut warden) as well as the two sports wardens Markus Lachenmair (alpine) and Regine Brandhofer (Nordic).
