Will ecology end up making its way into the European campaign? Omnipresent in 2019, the environmental issue seems, five years later, to have taken a back seat. Less than two months before the election, the subject was however put on the table on Tuesday, during a debate between the main leaders of the list, organized at the University of Angers by the engineer Jean-Marc Jancovici, president of the Shift Project.
“It’s one of the least followed elections and yet the most important,”
he opens, while only the big favorite in the polls, Jordan Bardella, is absent.
“Today, we want to impoverish the people by resolving the ecological question
,” says his replacement, the RN deputy for the Somme Jean-Philippe Tanguy.
