Change of office in Freising's financial authority: “The high level is maintained”

2024-04-16T08:12:08.503Z

Highlights: Freising's tax office already changed its head in the fall. The ceremony now followed - in the new Asamsaal, where the outgoing boss even sang a song. The list of speakers was long, as were the words of thanks and praise for the outgoing head of office, the Chief Government Director Ralph-Peter Nienkirchen. And of course also the list of good wishes for his successor Rüdiger Stögbauer, who took over the management of the Freising authority in autumn last year. But even though the time of the farewell was a few months ago and the official farewell had been waited until the opening of the Asamsoal - because of the dignified setting - NienKirchen had not yet forgotten his team. He recalled his last day at work, when the entire team had formed a human chain to his office: “It was so great - that's just you: a very special position and I'm so proud and grateful that I was allowed to be your boss"

Freising's tax office already changed its head in the fall. The ceremony now followed - in the new Asamsaal, where the outgoing boss even sang a song.

Freising – For the third time after the seven-year renovation break, music played in the Asamsaal. After the Asamsinfonietta and the first concert by Quadro Nuevo a few days ago, on Monday it was “A Little Night Music”, the composition by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, in which the ceremony for the change of head of the Freising tax office was embedded.

Late farewell

But even though the time of the farewell was a few months ago and the official farewell had been waited until the opening of the Asamsaal - because of the dignified setting - Nienkirchen had not yet forgotten his team. In his speech he did not review the past eleven years. Rather, in his farewell words he spoke like an Oscar winner - and thanked his companions from the office, entrance office, staff representatives, all department heads, in short: simply all employees. He thanked many of them by name and added small, very personal anecdotes and insider jokes. He recalled his last day at work, when the entire team had formed a human chain to his office: “It was so great - that's just you: a very special position and I'm so proud and grateful that I was allowed to be your boss. He then briefly sang Sinatra's “I did it my way” before leaving the stage to thunderous applause.

The fact that there was a particularly good working atmosphere in the tax office for more than a decade under the leadership of Ralph-Peter Nienkirchen was also made clear by the many farewell words: Freising's mayor, Tobias Eschenbacher, remembered how he spoke at a seniors' afternoon in the city of Freising was on stage with the head of the tax office for the musical entertainment. On behalf of the state government, State Minister Florian Herrmann thanked one of those “who are jointly responsible for ensuring that Bavaria is in the best possible financial position despite difficult conditions” and praised Nienkirchen for his passion, commitment and professionalism. Nienkirchen’s successor “had to follow in really big footsteps.”

But a look at Rüdiger Stögbauer's CV quickly makes it clear: "The high standard is maintained." The other deputy district administrator, Robert Wäger, also chimed in: "Mr Stögbauer will continue to carry out the office in the tried and tested form - and that is excellent. The deputy head of the Freising tax office, Susanne Steurer, Paul Kokott from the Chamber of Tax Consultants and the chairman of the staff council, Oliver Strrumpfel, came to the lectern, there were a few more pieces of music from the string quartet Sixteen Strings under the direction of Ursula Bongard and a lot of applause before the new one arrived Eschenbacher said he had “never heard anything bad about the tax office” since he had been in office.

A ordered house

But even if he finds a house that has been ordered, the challenges are great in times of a shortage of skilled workers. Stögbauer also addressed the words to his team: “I am happy to be your new head of office.” After a short time it was clear: “The decision for Freising was absolutely right.” And what is important to him as the new head of the authority? Appreciation, transparency and communication. “If we stick together internally, we can overcome all challenges.” And then “A Little Night Music” was played before the big topics were delved into at the reception.
