Much has been written and surely more will continue to be written about the
rapid rise
and
resounding decline
of the
image of Alberto Fernández
as president of the Nation. But the worst thing for the former president is that the deterioration of his valuation seems to have not stopped yet, despite the fact that he has been out of power for almost four months.
A
new survey
from the
University of San Andrés (Udesa)
that
Clarín
accessed this Friday
leaves Fernández with a sad rejection record: 86%
. It was not enough for the other 17 top politicians who were evaluated alongside him.
The study was based on a national survey of
1,045 cases
between March 18 and 22. The results were presented with +/- 3.15% margin of error.
As a consolation for the former president, the majority of his fellow test takers did not do well either:
another 10 ended up with more than 50 negative points
(some even with more than 70) and of the 7 who escaped that cut, only 3 made it. a differential in favor.
Alberto and the other 10 worst
Udesa
's approach
to the images of politicians offered two positive variants (good/very good) and two negative ones (bad/very bad). In addition to "I don't know" and "I don't know him."
In the case of Alberto Fernández, in addition to the total number, what draws attention and should worry him is the intensity of that negativity: 23% see him as bad and 63% as very bad. The former president also has 1% very good, 9% good, 4% I don't know and 1% I don't know him.
The least desired podium, with
rejections greater than 70%
, is completed by
Máximo Kirchner and Sergio Massa
. The head of the Buenos Aires PJ, with
16% bad and 58% very bad
(total negative 74%) and the former minister and candidate, with
20% bad and 53% very bad
(total - 73%).
Cristina
is just one step lower: 69 points of final negative,
11% bad and 58% very bad
.
Only in fifth place does a non-Peronist appear. This is another former president,
Mauricio Macri
, who reaches 63 points negative,
23% bad and 40% very bad
.
It is worth stopping for a second here: three of the five politicians most viewed by people were the presidents in the 16 years prior to Milei. And one of the remaining two came second in the runoff that the libertarian won. More than ever, the theory is reinforced that Argentine society is choosing between those it considers the least bad. The vote was scary.
Among the other six who have more than 50 points negative is
another recent presidential candidate
, plus the
governor of the largest province
in the country.
The case of
Horacio Rodríguez Larreta
is also heading for political study manuals. Not as pronounced as Alberto F.'s, but his fall was also brutal: in the
Udesa
study he was left with 59% rejection (
32% bad and 27% very bad
).
As for
Axel Kicillof
, who saved the Union por la Patria clothing in the last election, he ends up with 60% total negative (
11% bad and 49%
).
The rest that completes:
Nicolás del Caño
(61% negative,
22% bad and 39% very bad
).
Gerardo Morales
(55% negative,
22% bad and 33% very bad
).
Martín Lousteau
(55% negative,
26% bad and 29% very bad
).
Juan Grabois
(52% negative,
12% bad and 40% very bad
).
The 7 who escaped (up to that point)
As explained at the outset, among the seven top politicians who have less than 50% rejection,
only three end up with a differential image in favor
(more positive than negative).
This is a trio that is already accustomed to leading this type of ranking:
Patricia Bullrich, Javier Milei and Victoria Villarruel
.
The
Minister of Security
combines 48% positive with 46% negative (
14% bad and 32% very bad
); the same as the
President
, although he adds
12% bad and 34% very bad
; and the
vice
has + 46% and - 39% (
11% bad and 28% very bad
).
The other four in this part of the ranking, already with a negative balance, are:
FIT representative
Myriam Bregman
: 27% positive and 49% negative (
16% bad and 33% very bad
).
The former governor of Cordoba
Juan Schairetti
: + 35% and - 37% (
23% bad and 14% very bad
).
Cordoba governor
Martín Llaryora
: + 15% and - 34% (
19% bad and 15% very bad
).
Chubut governor
Ignacio Torres
: + 14% and - 23% (
13% bad and 10% very bad
).
