“Don’t touch my firefighter.” On the Facebook page of Sdis 77, the departmental fire and rescue service of Seine-et-Marne, the message is displayed in the middle of a red hand, referring to the image of the famous slogan, in yellow this time , from SOS Racisme. And right next to it, a message: “Stop the attacks”. A claim heard by the Melun criminal court, which has just sentenced a 24-year-old man for attacking firefighters on mission last week in the city center of the city-prefecture.
That day, the firefighters were called to take care of a woman who had been manhandled by her friend. The intervention will turn sour because the latter was apparently under the influence of alcohol. The man threatens them and does not hesitate to display a handgun. He will also break a window of the fire rescue vehicle before returning home. Alerted, the police officers from the anti-crime squad arrested him a little later. During the search, they discovered an alarm pistol, 28 rounds of ammunition and 358 grams of cannabis in his car.
