While the first groundbreaking of the Roissy Picardie bar was launched last January, the Hauts-de-France region has just granted, this Thursday, a subsidy of more than 130 million euros - or 114,698,694 euros for SNCF Réseau and 15,615,523 euros for SNCF Gares&Connexions. A more than substantial envelope, which will make it possible to realize the first phase of work on this future rail link which will connect Roissy airport, in Val-d'Oise, to Amiens in the Somme.
It is an understatement to say that this line, announced many times and postponed many times, is awaited by hundreds and hundreds of users. Once the work is completed, this new axis will allow “the establishment of new TER services timed from different towns such as Amiens, Saint-Quentin, Compiègne and Creil with service from Survilliers-Fosses in Val-d'Oise to 'at Roissy TGV', the region is reminded.
Commissioning at the end of 2026
In total, 17 additional trains will stop in these different municipalities, as well as a TGV connection “without passing through Parisian stations”. In Oise, where 8,000 residents go to Roissy to work every day, some will be able to relegate their car to the garage.
As a reminder, the overall cost of the development is estimated at more than 570 million euros. A project which includes the creation of a new 6.5 km line, signaling and electrical improvements on the Paris-Creil-Amiens line, the creation of a new platform at Roissy CDG 2 TGV station and even developments at Survilliers-Fosse station. The commissioning of the bar is planned for the end of 2026.
