An Easter weekend marked by traffic jams. Bison Futé has forecast significant traffic on the roads of France, from Friday March 29 to Monday April 1.
On Friday, traffic is expected to be very difficult in Île-de-France and the Rhône-Alpes region, classified in red by the forecasting organization. The latter recommends not crossing Île-de-France from midday, and avoiding the main roads during the afternoon: the A1, the A7, the A13 and the du tunnel. Mont-Blanc are in the viewfinder.
Easter Monday jammed
Traffic is expected to be smoother over the weekend. On March 30, almost all regions of France are classified as green by Bison Futé, with the exception of Île-de-France in the direction of departures where traffic will be difficult. The forecasting organization therefore advises leaving or crossing the Paris region before 8 a.m., to avoid any traffic jams. Congestion is expected to increase significantly from mid-morning, particularly on the A6b, A6 and A10 motorways.
Conversely, Easter Monday promises to be very busy. The north-west of France is classified red in the direction of returns, and traffic will be difficult there. Motorists are recommended to avoid several roads including the A7, the A10 and the A13 at the end of the day, and Île-de-France before 2 p.m. Traffic difficulties could be experienced throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
