A big bit of a horror show: Beatrice Egli found herself in a scary situation that she can't laugh about, even after the fact.
Baden-Baden – Actually, Beatrice Egli (35) should slowly suspect that there is a hidden camera behind every corner. Because this is not the first time that the pop singer from Switzerland has been tricked on “Do you understand fun?” Regular watchers will never forget how they involuntarily went into the water. This time the scenario is different.
“Do you understand fun?” director happy about loading Beatrice Egli
Director Nikolai Dörler, who has been working at “Understanding Fun” for 30 years, had already made fans' mouths water on his Instagram profile. “To be honest, in my now over 30 years of 'Do you understand fun?' activity and well over 1000 box-office films, the loading with Beatrice Egli is one of my absolute top 5 loadings in my life! Absolutely 'awesome...' story, incredible technical challenge, mega equipment and one of the longest loading times in the history of VSS! Sorry Beatrice, but unfortunately you had to go through that.”

“Do you understand fun?”: Beatrice Egli is tricked into a haunted house
Where exactly? He didn't reveal that at first. But three and a half days before the broadcast (Saturday, March 30th, 8:15 p.m., Das Erste) the makers informed about the setting in a press release. The prank takes place during recordings for Beatrice Egli's podcast “Egli Extrem”. She talks to an alleged medium for supernatural phenomena and is supposed to go ghost hunting with him.
“Do you understand fun?” has converted an inconspicuous-looking property in a quiet residential area into a real haunted house. The announcement says: “There is actually a ghost rumbling through the house, albeit a very real one: Barbara Schöneberger – and she gives Beatrice Egli goosebumps of an unpleasant kind. After a short time, the singer only has one wish: that this horror show would finally be over is!"

Beatrice Egli: “I haven’t really laughed until today”
Egli confirms this in the

: “When I saw this ghost, I was just shocked and amazed. Thousands of thoughts went through my head, and a bit of fear also shot through my body." Egli doesn't seem to be really thrilled about it all: "I was relieved and happy that it was over and it was all just fun. To this day I haven't really laughed because it wasn't fun for me. I think it’s funnier for people to see than to be in the situation.”

The agency responsible for “Do you understand fun?” has published the first photos. Unlike the prank with Schöneberger and Thomas Gottschalk, there is no moving image material. But what was published in a typical horror film look should make many people curious. Did you know that Florian Silbereisen was also a victim on the show?
