It filled the Stade de France and the Stade Vélodrome in a few hours. Marseille rapper Jul announced on Monday two new major concerts in 2025 in two of the most legendary stadiums in France, on April 26 in Paris and May 24 in Marseille. Proof of the enthusiasm aroused by the so-called “UFO”, the ticket office, which opened this Wednesday at noon, was stormed. At just 3:30 p.m., the artist announced that both concerts were sold out.
The three sites on which it was possible to buy tickets, the official sites of the Paris and Marseille venues as well as Ticketmaster, were saturated as soon as the ticket office opened. More than a million connections were recorded for the two shows, Jul's team announced on social networks.
Some internet users shared screenshots of their position in virtual queues, with waiting times estimated at more than an hour, just 10 minutes after the ticket office opened. Despite capacity of 80,000 seats at the Stade de France and 60,000 at the Stade Vélodrome, many were inevitably disappointed.
His first concert at the Stade de France
After more than ten years of career and more than four million albums sold, the Marseille rapper has just confirmed that he remains one of the most popular artists in France. “L’Uvni” said a sober “And thank you to the team” on his social networks to thank his fans. “I will give everything to return what you gave me,” he promised at the beginning of the week when the two concerts were announced.
If he has already given a show at the Stade Vélodrome in 2022, he will perform for the first time in his career at the Stade de France. He will be the fourth urban artist to perform on stage in Saint-Denis, after Soprano, Maître Gims and Booba. Rapper Ninho will also give his first two concerts at the Stade de France in May 2025.
Many fans disappointed at not having had a place now hope that the rapper from Saint-Jean-du-Désert (Marseille) will soon announce new dates.
