10 new ultra-fast charging stations for electric vehicles will be established on Route 90. Dead Sea and Jordan Valley regional councils won grants from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.

The stations are expected to be built in central commercial, tourism, and business complexes near Highway 90. Israel currently has about 400 ultra-fast charging stations, i.e. charging stations with a power of over 150 kilowatts. The positions will be set up by Afcon (ON), with a subsidy of half a million shekels from the ministry. The tender was managed by the Judea and Samaria cluster in the. Ministry of the Interior, together with the ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and will lead to the expansion of the charging network in the region, says the CEO of the cluster. It is time to expand the deployment of public charging stations all over the country, so that the news of electric vehicles will reach all strata of the population and all regions of the country," says Karen Gefen.
