Olympique de Marseille will host Atalanta Bergamo in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals. The match will be played on Thursday, May 2 at the Vélodrome stadium.

The semi-final return will take place in Bergamo on May 9. Marseille qualified for the last four of the competition after their victory against Benfica during the penalty shootout (1-0, 4-2 on the tabs). Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored late in the match, which helped maintain French hopes before the return. The French club is only ninth in Ligue 1, but is taking advantage of its adventure in the competition to save its season. The Marseillais lost 3-0 to Atlético de Madrid in the final in 2010, six years after their epic of 2018 (3-0 defeat against AtlétICO de Madrid). The club has won just one of its last nine matches in all competitions (D2 L3).
