Police found a Kalashnikov, gloves, a balaclava, and a can of gasoline in a stolen car in Meudon. The car belonged to a family from Val-d'Oise whose members were shot dead in the context of settling scores linked to drug trafficking.

At this stage, the person who wanted the target dead, a man involved in drug trafficking living in Sèvres, has not been identified. At least one of the alleged hitmen responsible for the assassination was, however, arrested and indicted last month before carrying out his mission. The case is part of a judicial investigation for "attempted assassination" and "criminal association with a view to the commission of a crime. The suspect has been identified as a known trafficker, whose father and brother-in-law were executed in Garges-lès-Gonesse in 2022 and 2023. It was after these two settlements of scores that this man decided to leave Val-d'Oise to settle in Senevres to be forgotten.
