ESPN suggests eleven of the twelve names who will compete in the Olympic Games. LeBron James, who has been awarded this distinction four times, should be selected, as should Kevin Durant.

Tyrese Haliburton, Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards and Bam Adebayo complete this impressive list to which only one name is missing. The United States has been riding the Olympics since their bronze medal tasted like failure in Athens in 2004, twenty years ago. During the last Games, in Tokyo in 2021, Team USA won in the final against the France team (87-82). The U.S. has won the gold medal 16 times in 19 appearances at the Olympics, including in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020, when LeBron James won gold in all three games. The team won the silver medal in 2004 and the bronze medal in 2008 and 2012 by winning gold in each of the four games they competed in. The last gold medal was won by LeBron James in 2008.
