Number of unemployed in Germany fell in March. The unemployment rate is 6.0 percent.
707,000 vacancies were reported to the Federal Agency in March, 70,000 fewer than a year ago. Companies reported short-time work for 48,000 people for the period from March 1st to 24th, which is 10,000 less than in the same period of the previous month. 317,000 applicants for training positions had registered with employment agencies and job centers between October and March. However, the training market is still very much in flux.
