Every weekend, at nightfall, the parking lot at the Zénith Nantes Métropole becomes a circuit. The neighbors are fed up.

On Facebook, a group brings together fans of these practices, who come from neighboring departments such as Morbihan and Vendée. The event attracts both the people who put on these shows and the spectators. It becomes an outing, says one man who has been observing these races for at least three years, but with varying frequency. The goal is to put a definitive end to these gatherings. Berlin cushions, these large rectangles which serve as speed bumps, will be installed, as well as other relief bands. Of the four young adults and the minor arrested, three were placed under judicial supervision and will be judged on October 8, 2024. One was to be summoned before the juvenile judge, while a preliminary investigation was opened time to check certain elements concerning the last one. A local resident on a boulevard located 100 meters away as the crow flies wonders: "Before, it was in an industrial zone. They dislodged them, and they landed on the zenith. Afterwards, they went elsewhere?" The goal is for it not to start again at all. We would have liked to react more quickly for the residents. It takes a lot of time. "We placed the emphasis on safety, to prevent there being other tragedies with this risky behavior," insists the police. "We are going to arrange the parking lot to remove any desire to continue this regrouping."
