[HIGHLIGHTS] Montreuil raises its property tax (again)

Two years after the first increase in the mandate, elected officials voted Wednesday evening in the municipal council to increase the property tax by 5%. A “necessary” decision justified Patrice Bessac (PCF), in a “difficult context” “Since 2021, inflation has been stifling our financial capacities: alone, it is responsible for around 90% of the increase in our operating expenses over the past three years,” detailed the mayor of Montreuil.

The initial budget was adopted unanimously minus two votes against, those of opposition elected officials Choukri Yonis (DVG) and Pierre Serne (EELV)
