The Landsberg city council dealt with the plans for the new building of the district office at Penzinger Feld. Criticism arose - about the extent of the parking areas but also about the building as a whole.

The designs by the Hascher Jehle Architektur planning office envisage a round building with four full floors. A hall for 200 people, a cafeteria, and the admissions office will be located on the ground floor, while the office rooms facing a park-like courtyard will be located on the upper floors. The roof landscape will be extensively greened and equipped with PV systems. A state-of-the-art energy concept with heat pumps, mechanical ventilation, energy recovery, and outside air geothermal heat exchangers ensures energy efficiency and CO2 savings. "I find it very difficult. When did this paradigm shift happen?" asked Petra Ruffing (CSU) and Ulrike Gömmer (Greens) about the planned two-story parking deck.
