Nov Cohen, owner of a food stall business, prepared for the Simchat Torah event in Otef. The next day he found himself being transferred to the reserves in the north, while his business was on the other side of the country.

"I entered a war zone I had never seen before. It was like in the movies, the roads were destroyed, cars burned, shields that were simply destroyed," he says. The 27-year-old served for four months in reserve in the northern sector. "It was not at all like in the regular service. I understood what war meant, we fired shells non-stop," he adds. He was recruited at the beginning of the war and was recruited by the army at the start of the conflict. He runs a business of food stalls for events called "Noviver" in Moshav Nachala in the south of Israel. He is also a reservist in an artillery battalion, and served there for three months. "It's an amazing feeling that there are people who love what you do and come back to you despite the large offer in the field," Noviver says, "and now what I wish for myself is that I will continue to develop and grow."
