The Bouches-du-Rhône department is expecting many visitors for the Olympic events in Marseille. An artificial intelligence called MIA already guides them through conversations and a question-and-answer game using the ChatGPT 4.0 version.

Tested since November 15 before launching in March, this artificial intelligence has already informed its first curious people with 20 “conversations” per day on average. “We receive 9 million tourists each year, this AI which we consider as a digital concierge speaking several languages is a plus for reception. It relies on a huge database making it possible to respond to all requests,” underlines Isabelle Bremond, director of Provence Tourisme. ‘It is a service which will undoubtedly be further improved and continued after the Olympics and the Paralympic Games,’ says Isabelle, ‘We consider this AI as adigital concierges.’ The service is accessible via myprovence.fr.
