Bagged salads “too contaminated by pesticides”, warns 60 million consumers. The magazine tested several references sold in stores.

Result: four out of five bagged salads contain residues of phytosanitary products. The study also reveals that salads labeled organic are contaminated by pesticide. Without having been sprayed on the shoots, they could persist in the crop soils. Bagged salads are regularly subject to recalls, and for good reason, salad shoots are sensitive to pests such as aphids and slugs.
