Giorgio Armani said his fashion group could undergo major changes when he is no longer at the helm. He said he was not ruling out a merger or a stock-market flotation.

"Independence from the big groups could still be a value for the group in the future, but I don't feel I can exclude anything," Armani said. "A stock-market listing is something we haven't discussed yet, but it is an option that could be considered in the distant future." The Italian fashion designer is set to celebrate his 90th birthday in July. He will be celebrating with friends and family at a party in his hometown of Bologna. He is also set to take part in a charity gala in Milan later this month. For more information, visit www.ifi.org.
