A second earthquake within a few days has shaken Italy. After Campania, Tuscany was hit.

There were no injuries or deaths caused by the quake. The epicenter is in an area of open countryside between Poggibonsi and Castellina in Chianti. The quake was clearly felt in the areas between Siena and Florence, both in the two capitals and especially in the surrounding smaller towns. Although no major damage was reported in connection with the earthquake, there was "panic among the people." The quake happened on Tuesday evening at around 7:49 p.m. (local time) at a depth of around eight kilometers. The Italian Civil Defense said there were no deaths or injuries caused by this earthquake. It was the second earthquake recorded in Italy after a magnitude 5.8 earthquake that shook Greece at the end of March. Fears of a series of severe earthquakes also grew in Italy.
