French inflation slows below estimates in March. In March the consumer price index (CPI) in France rose by 2.3% on an annual basis.
On a monthly basis, growth was 0.2% compared to the 0.5% forecast and 0.8% in February. The harmonized index (HICP) increased on an year-on-year basis by2.4% on March 1, compared to 2.8%, 2.6% and 3.2%, respectively.
